About the Course

Teams are the fundamental building blocks of most organizations, and teams that are able to work cohesively together with greater synergy can perform at high levels. As great leaders know, building a two-way trust relationship lies at the core of effective team building. Managers who want to lead teams that outperform must factor in trust-building into the equation. Trust is a powerful enabler in cooperation and performance. When team members trust each other to work with integrity, ethics and competence, the project has a much greater chance of success.

This workshop will help your team in improving their trust relationships and gaining a deep understanding of trustworthiness. Participants will learn to use the Team Trust Canvas methodology to strengthen team performance. They will learn which factors are essential for trust and how to use this new capacity to create an environment that brings out the best in people. The course content is practical and hands-on, and learning is experiential using step-by-step exercises with different tools and games.

Objectives

  • Understanding the Importance of Trust: The workshop should help team members recognize the significance of trust in building strong relationships and achieving team goals.   • Identifying Trust-Building Behaviors: Participants will learn about key behaviors and actions that contribute to building trust within a team. This includes active listening, open and honest communication, transparency, reliability, accountability, and respecting confidentiality. The workshop will emphasize the importance of demonstrating these behaviors consistently.
  • Addressing Trust Barriers: The workshop should identify common barriers to trust within the team and provide strategies to overcome them. These barriers can include lack of communication, fear of conflict, micromanagement, lack of accountability, and interpersonal conflicts. The objective is to create awareness and provide tools to address and mitigate these barriers effectively.
  • Building Effective Communication: Effective communication is a fundamental aspect of building trust. The workshop should focus on improving communication skills, such as active listening, clarity in expressing ideas, providing constructive feedback, and resolving conflicts through open dialogue. Participants will learn techniques for fostering a safe and inclusive communication environment.
