There's a dire need to manage and protect data in modern times. The Certified Information Privacy Professionals (CIPP) is the global standard for professionals who manage, handle and access data. The CIPP/E is the European edition that helps professionals understand security considerations within Europe.

The CIPP program was launched by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). It was formed with the intention of providing a common set of practices to enable privacy professionals to implement data security.
